Sony Ericsson W580i (download failed)?

I got my phone about a few months ago and found out it will not allow me to open a multimedia message. I have a memory card with enough space AND my bro is on the same plan yet he can open them. How can I open them? I tried getting the site to send me the settings however I never get heir texts.
