Could the ER admit me for constant pain because of gallbladder?

On tuesday night i went to the ER and i was told i most likely had Gall stones, but, they didnt diagonse me, they reffered me to my PCP, to get an ultra sound, Today i went into the ultrasound and after i left my pain doubled, it didnt start getting worse until about now. My family has a history of [problems with gall stones and all of them had there gallbladder removed. I have Viks but they are not helping the pain, i cannot get rid of it. My on call doctor said to go to the er but im affraid they will addmit me for my gallbladder, to keep me in observation or something. Can some on please help me?
