Any way to get my hair straight without heat or chemical relaxation?

I have almost straight - kind of wavy hair. It's like, straight with round waves at the bottom. I don't really like it at all, and my hair dries out when I straighten it or blow dry and brush it. I don't want to pay to get it relaxed, which I heard can damage it anyway, so is there any way I can get it straight without heat?
